Home...

So we have made it home from our wonderful trip to Disneyland and our visit with family in So. Cal!!! However when we got home Saturday evening it was 99 degrees in the house... the AC had gone out while we were gone!!! So we had to get a room and then wait all day Sunday for it to be fixed. What a nightmare... thank God we have an amazing landlord who took care of it quickly!!!

Steven had an amazing time at Disneyland and boy what a difference a year makes. He was like a completely different kid. He rode everything that he was tall enough to ride, and was scared of Space Mountain and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. However he did tell me as we were leaving, "mommy next year when I'm 5 I won't be scared of Space Mountain or the elevator and I can ride them then!!!" He truely is my child, he loves to ride just like I do, thank the LORD!!! This makes me so happy!!!

We also visited with family while in So Cal, and had an amazing time. Steven made out like a bandit!!! My great aunt Clara got him some little cars, and also gave him my late great uncle Hector's model airplanes... I think he must have put those planes together 20+ years ago. We were totally loaded down on the way home, but we are so thankful!!! I'm so proud of my boy!!! All everyone says is what a good kid I have!!! I guess I'm doing something right!!! He helped Aunt Terry feed the dogs every night, and also got some paints from Aunt Terry... I think we have another artist in the family!!!

We had so much fun in California, but we are so happy to be home!!!

32 more days to go!!!

I'm so excited for this vactation... not only because I'm a huge Disney fan, but because I think that Steven is really going to enjoy himself more this year. Don't get me wrong, he had a blast last year, but he is more mature if you will and it is all he talks about every day. So 32 more days to go!!!!!!!! He is growing everyday and I think that he may be big enough to ride everything buy Indiana Jones and California Screaming. The last time I checked he was 41" but he is growing everyday. It is amazing to see how much you child grows in a year, especially since you see them everyday and you don't really see it until one day you look at them and they are just a little bit taller, and their jammies make them look like they are expecting a flood, LOL!!! So California here we come!!!!!!!

I know I'm such a kid at heart... LOL!!! I think that I'm more excited than Steven, however I'm super excited to get outta this heat!!! This summer has been a scorcher!!! Not only has it been super hot, its been super humid. What happen to the "dry heat" of the valley of the sun? This is the question I've been asking myself all summer.

So can I say I'm so super excited that potty training is over!!! This makes me super happy!!! Not only did he just do it on his own, you don't even have to remind him to go pee. You know how some kids get to playing and you have to remind them to pee, not Steven, he has totally figured it out!!! It sucks that it took him so long to figure out that it was a good thing to go potty... LOL!!!!

So Disneyland here we come... and boy are we excited!!!!! I'm going to add an old picture of the Disneyland Marquee, the old one that is, since there isn't one anymore now that the old parking lot is gone!!!

69 more days... and potty training complete!!!

Yup that's right... we are done with potty training. Steven decided all on his own yesterday that he would finally do what he needed to do!!! What a great day it was for all of us!!! With that being said, I'm super excited that we can now go places and not worry about having to have diapers... and not worry about him peeing his pants. I know that we may have an accident here or there... but he has not had an accident since he decided he was gonna let whatever his fear of going potty was go!!! So with that being said, thank you for all of the love, support, advise and prayers... we now have a big boy that doesn't wear diapers. He is so good that he just goes on his own. This morning he woke up and went potty before we even woke up!!!
69 more days to go and we will be in the Happiest Place on Earth!!! Oh Mickey how I can't wait to see you again!!! Yeah I know I'm a big kid and I can't wait to go and be diaper free!!!

76 more days and potty training again!!!

UGH!!!! So we are trying the potty training thing again. It's been exhausting the last couple of days. I'm trying to stay calm. This kid has such good control of his bladder that he can hold it for hours which isn't good. He is so stubborn that he will not pee in the potty. He just absolutely refuses. I'm hoping that we can finish the potty training before we leave to Disneyland in 76 days. Yes some may say that is a long time and that I have plenty of time... well this stubborn kid may take the entire 76 days. So please pray for me that I do not kill him in the next 76 days... and also please pray for my mom who tends to give in to what ever he wants and will just buy diapers so she doesn't have to hear him cry!!! She has promised that she will not do this, but we'll see!!! So please send lots of prayers our way!!!

Disneyland again!!

So we are going back to Disneyland... and boy oh boy we can't wait. I think that Steven has the Disney bug just like his mommy. I've created a monster... but then again, I'm excited because that means I can go every year still!! I'm looking forward to this trip because we are staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. Anyway... we are super excited for our next trip and I just wanted to share.

Back to the gym!!

So yesterday I started to eat healthy again... I know pretty crazy!!! It has been a year since I graduated and still have this extra nursing school weight I gained. Well since we are going back to Disneyland in September I think that it will be a good idea to loose this extra weight before we go... at least some of it... LOL!!! So back to the gym I go and eating less with each meal. I also started taking QT... you know the same stuff the Kardashian sisters have taken. I like it because you don't have to take it 30 minutes before a meal, as a matter of fact you take it between meals of before you work out. I also heard on the Biggest Loser, that if you do 30 minutes of cardio every day and eat a well balanced diet you will loose weight... so here I go back to the gym... wish me luck!!!

Too young for a Wii!!

So before Christmas when I had decided that I thought I might want to get a Wii for Steven from Santa my mom says to me, "I think he is too young for that don't you?" So I thought about it and decided that he really wasn't too young, and that it would be really good for his hand/eye coordination. So I got the Wii. Well now my mo is totally eating her words, this kid figures out every game that we have so far. He bowls so well that he beats us all. He loves it and I'm so glad that I decided to make this investment and buy it. And by the way, my mom loves to play too. Who'd have ever thought, the woman who hates video game systems, the same one who would always down play them to me as a kid, loves to play as well. As a matter of fact I've called on my way home from work on a couple of occasions and she and Steven are bowling... LOL!!! Steven has just informed me today that he is tired from waiting for me to finish on the computer and he wants to play tennis. So since I've decided to hang out with him today I guess we'd better fire up the Wii!!!
